About Moving and Grooving
Moving and Grooving is a warm, open-concept, boutique-style dance studio created especially for young movers—starting from toddlers at 18 months through school-aged children up to 10 years old.
Our space is designed with the needs of little ones in mind. Preschoolers enjoy a whimsical environment all their own—free from the anxiety of being shut behind closed doors or the hustle of big kids rushing around. For older beginners, Moving and Grooving offers the perfect, welcoming place to begin their dance journey—without the intimidation of competitive or pre-professional dancers.
Our Philosophy: Dance Is for Everyone
At Moving and Grooving, we believe every child deserves the chance to discover the joy of dance, regardless of experience, ability, or background.
What We Teach
We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Tumbling thoughtfully designed as combination classes, giving students a well-rounded foundation in movement and rhythm.
Pop-Up Classes & Workshops
Throughout the season, we offer special Pop-Up Classes and Workshops that give dancers the opportunity to step outside their regular class routine and experience something new.
These workshops are taught by guest teachers and other dance professionals, giving students the chance to learn from someone different than Miss Camille and experience new teaching styles, perspectives, and approaches to movement. Each Pop-Up focuses on one specific dance genre, allowing students to dive deeper into that style than they typically do in a combination class.
Pop-Ups are also a wonderful introduction to what a traditional dance class for older dancers looks like. Students get to spend more time developing technique, learning choreography, building endurance, and working on specific skills.
Whether we are exploring jazz, tap, pom, musical theater, ballet, hip hop, or another style, these workshops help dancers expand their dance vocabulary, strengthen their skills, build confidence, and discover new things they love about dance.
Performance Opportunities
We believe in celebrating progress in ways that are exciting, approachable, and fun for young dancers. Throughout the season, our dancers have several opportunities to perform, celebrate their hard work, and build confidence.
Our performance opportunities are designed to give every child a chance to experience the excitement of performing while building confidence, teamwork, and a love of dance. There is no audition required—just a willingness to learn, have fun, and groove!
Friendship and Fun Beyond the Classroom
We know dance is more than steps—it’s about connection. That’s why we host bi-monthly Create, Play, and Hang (Parent Night Out) events, where kids enjoy playtime with dance friends, pizza, and a professional art class—while parents enjoy an evening to themselves.
Our Values
We are dedicated to teaching the whole child—helping students grow in acceptance, empathy, and compassion, while building strong dance technique. We embrace diversity, inclusion, unity, and joy in everything we do.
Our Mission
To create a safe, nurturing, and joy-filled space where all abilities and learning differences are welcome, dance is celebrated, and friendships last a lifetime.
